Dr. Damien J. Thomas, LPC-S, NCC, ICAADC, ACS, BC-TMH

Dr. Damien J. Thomas has over 18 years of experience in the mental health & addictions field and has worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and juvenile justice. Dr. Thomas treats a range of populations including children, adolescents, and adults.              Dr. Thomas also serves as a mental health/business consultant and college professor. He received his Doctor of Professional Counseling degree from Mississippi College in 2014. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Mississippi, Board Qualified Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICAADC) and a Board Certified TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH).  Dr. Thomas is an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) and the Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals (MAAP). 

 

Karen McGee, NCC, LPC

Karen McGee is a licensed Professional counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 11 years of experience in assisting children, adolescents, and adults with reaching their full potential. Karen strives to create a nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to achieve the highest level of behavioral, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning.  Karen’s areas of emphasis include the treatment of anxiety and depression, women's emotional health, family therapy, trauma treatment, adolescent behavior issues, and substance use disorders. Karen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Jackson State University in 2003, Master of Arts degree in Sociology & Alcohol & Drug Studies from Jackson State University in 2005, & Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from Jackson State University in 2011.

Marilyn Johnson, NCC, LPC

Marilyn Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) with a wealth of clinical experience. She received her Master of Science degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Mississippi College and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Delta State University. Marilyn has provided psychotherapy in various settings, including community mental health centers, juvenile detention centers and private practice. She is driven by passion and purpose to comfort and educate individuals ready for a change. Marilyn’s mission is to help individuals understand themselves so they can better manage their mental health. Marilyn’s area of expertise is adjustment to life transitions, stress management, women’s issues, men’s issues, interpersonal relationships, and mood disorders (including depression and anxiety). Marilyn utilizes various theoretical approaches but primarily integrates cognitive-behavioral, gestalt and solution-focused therapies. She is an active member of the Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA) and the Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselor Association (MLPCA).

Ariel Harrison

Ariel Harrison serves as Office Manager of Resilience Counseling. Ms. Harrison attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX where she majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Political Science. While in Texas Ms. Harrison worked for many years as the Volunteer Programs Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Club for Deep East Texas, participating as the liaison between local community, colleges, churches, and Boys & Girls Clubs around the state. Prior to relocating to Mississippi, Ms. Harrison dedicated 4 years of service at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital where she served as a Certified Nurse Technician for Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, Nursery, Pediatrics, and Geriatric Psych Units.  Ms. Harrison has a heart for community service as she is a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, Inc. Ms. Harrison also receives great joy from being a mother and volunteering her time to help others in need.

Jasmine Snow, LPC

Jasmine is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Mississippi and has over 8 years of mental health experience. She received her Master of Science degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University. Jasmine has provided therapeutic services in various settings, including schools, community mental health centers, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and substance use rehabilitation centers. She utilizes various theoretical approaches in therapy along with an integration of cognitive-behavioral, gestalt, and solution-focused therapies. Her areas of emphasis are mood disorders, guilt and shame, substance use, women's issues, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships and adjustment to life transitions. Jasmine's overall mission is to equip her clients with practical skills and solutions to apply to every facet of their lives. She enjoys collaborating with clients by establishing concrete and attainable goals tailored to their specific needs. Jasmine is an active member of the Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA), American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES).

Kiara Bass, LPC

Kiara Bass is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Mississippi with years of experience in various settings, including community mental health centers, intensive in-home services, outpatient services, day treatment programs, and schools. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University and her Master of Education Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Delta State University. She is currently earning her Specialist in Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi. Using cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, client-centered approaches, as well as non-directive and directive play therapy approaches, Kiara has provided individual, family, and group services with children, adolescents, and families, focusing on adjustment disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, behavior modification, social skills/communication skills development, self-esteem, emotion identification and regulation, and the adoptee/foster care/blended family population.

Stacy  Travis, NCC, LPC

Stacy Travis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Mississippi State State University in 2011and her Master of Science degree in Marriage & Family Counseling from Mississippi College in 2015. Stacy has provided psychotherapy in various settings and populations, including community mental health centers and on various units (assessment & referral; geropsychology units) within the inpatient setting. Stacy's area of expertise is in the treatment of mood disorders (including depression and anxiety), adjustment to life transitions and interpersonal relationships. Stacy utilizes various theoretical approaches but primarily integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy and client-centered therapies.
