Dr. Damien J. Thomas, DPC, LPC-S, NCC, ICAADC, ACS, BC-TMH

Dr. Thomas has over 15 years of experience in the mental health & addictions field and has worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and juvenile justice. Dr. Thomas treats an array of populations including children, adolescents, and adults. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Mississippi College in 2002, Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College in 2006 and his Doctor of Professional Counseling degree from Mississippi College in 2014 respectively. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Mississippi, Board Qualified Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICAADC) and a Board Certified TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH).  Dr. Thomas is an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) and the Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals (MAAP).

Karen McGee, LPC, NCC

Karen McGee is a licensed Professional counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 10 years of experience in assisting children, adolescents, and adults with reaching their full potential. Karen strives to create a nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to achieve the highest level of behavioral, cognitive, social, and emotional functioning.  Karen’s areas of emphasis include the treatment of anxiety and depression, women's emotional health, family therapy, trauma treatment, adolescent behavior issues, and substance use disorders. Karen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Jackson State University in 2003, Master of Arts degree in Sociology & Alcohol & Drug Studies from Jackson State University in 2005, & Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from Jackson State University in 2011.

LaShonda Ard, LPC, NCC

LaShonda Ard is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a specialty in clinical mental health treatment with over 6 years of experience in the behavioral health care field. LaShonda has experience providing treatment to adults with serious mental health disorders and substance abuse disorders in various settings including outpatient, residential, and adult detention centers. LaShonda aims to help individuals regain control of their lives while maintaining a therapeutic alliance with clients using evidence-based therapies that centers around person-centered, behavioral, solution focused, and family systems therapies. LaShonda received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Jackson State University in 2008 and received her Master of Science in Marriage & Family Counseling at Mississippi College in 2015. LaShonda is also a member of the MS Counseling Association.
